Interesting stuff, Internet, John Matherly, Maps

Where does Internet live? Or, where are people who connect to Internet located? This map, below, shows it, very well. The map was made a couple of months ago and shows, at a glance, the location of most devices connected to Internet. It was made by the founder of Shodan, John Matherly, based on data he collected. Shodan is a “search engine for internet-connected devices.” Looking at the photo, lots of thoughts, ranging from the technical divide between rich countries and those less developed, to the amount of data being generated at that very moment, to the resources needed to keep all that up. Powerful image, indeed.
